MGM Mirage: Love Theater

Creating the iconic British flag ceiling for the Love theater at the Mirage was an interesting challenge. It seemed so simple! Just nine sandblasted and painted sheets of glass. But painting smoothly and matching colors was far more difficult than anticipated over such a large area. The design called for each of the 12-foot long panels to be supported only by the short ends and one two-inch chrome clip at the center. This proved to be very challenging to install, and had to be taken down and re-painted five times! This is truly a one of a kind ceiling.
